First time here with my husband and we loved it! We had the peppered steak with mashed potatoes and sweet plantain and it was absolutely DELICIOUS !!and FLAVORFUL!! Presentation was lovely and ambience was great. The music brought me back to good memories too!! We plan to go back
Late review but IMPECCABLE SERVICE and food was delicious. Went here with my sister for Mother’s Day brunch and had a good time. Our waitress was attentive and kind. The atmosphere was nice, music wasn’t over powering and the DJ was good. I had French toast with grits and oxtail gravy on top. My sister had shrimp and grits. French toast was the right bite of fluff and crisp and grits were flavorful. No complaints definitely recommend.
So me and sis went out to eat for my birthday and the experience was 10/10!! Kareem (our host) was truly amazing he was above and beyond and made our time there full of vibes and conversation. The space was clean and the atmosphere was great. The food and the drinks were everything you’d expect Jamaican cuisine should be. The only thing was the wait time for the food, but when it came it was definitely worth it. Definitely will be coming back!!
Appetizers, drinks and meals were so delicious. We were a party of 4. Everything was great. We didn't have a reservation for dinner. It's Good Friday. But we were seated anyway. Our waitress was amazing. So accommodating. I also had my birthday there a couple years ago. Service is still awesome. You have to try this place.
Been coming here for brunch for a long time.. finally got to experience the dinner menu and it didn’t disappoint.. very good flavors on the coconut curry Red snapper.. will be coming back for dinner service .. tried curry goat and very flavorful and tender as well..
Glad I chose this Hush. This one is located in Elmont. The bartender Ace was superb! He mixed up those cocktails just right! I came on a Thursday for happy hour but ended up staying longer than happy hour hours which turned into ladies night. Great specials for Ladies night and happy hour. The DJ was great! He's there every Thursday I forgot the other days. The food was delicious! I recommend the taco's and the wings! This place is great for a date or Solo. The owner was very nice too! Don't get those Hush mixed up with the other one in Astoria. Remember this one is in Elmont! I highly recommend this place! Everything was clean, food was fresh and drinks were spot on!!
Just enough spice and flavor to the food. The food comes out piping hot. Staff is friendly and attentive. Great music. Mac n cheese is deliciously cheesy. Rum punch packs a punch! Update: went for Taco Tuesdays. Two large tacos and a margarita for 20.
Had a fantastic experience at Hush Restaurant & Lounge! The moment you walk in, the stylish decor sets the mood. The food? Absolutely delicious and authentic Jamaican cuisine. The mac & cheese was creamy with the perfect crust, the jerk chicken packed bold flavor, and the oxtail was fall-off-the-bone tender. Every dish was a hit! Big shoutout to Michelle, my bartender—friendly, fast, and on point. Mary, the maitre d’, made sure everything ran smoothly, and Chris from management checked in with genuine hospitality. The staff made the whole experience even better. While they no longer take call-in takeout orders, waiting at the bar while vibing to great music and sipping a cocktail made it more than worth it. The energy in the place is just right. If you haven’t been—go. If you’ve been—go again. Hush is definitely on my go-to list.
